Roagna is perhaps best-known for their dry, aromatic cuvées made from long macerations and Slavonian oak aging. Fruit is hand-harvested from 20 to 25-year-old vines and fermented for ten days in large wood casks. Shows notes of tart cherries, leather, and tar, marked by zesty acidity and solid structure--an excellent way to have Barolo energy at a lower price-point.
