Lantignié may technically be Beaujolais-Villages, but this little corner of the region has ambitions of becoming Beaujolais' eleventh cru, and Yann Bertrand makes a pretty convincing case for it. Bright, juicy red berries, delicate florals, and a distinctly stony, mineral edge meet lively acidity and an almost weightless texture. A wonderfully energetic Gamay that's equally happy alongside a plate of pâté and cornichons or a simple weeknight roast chicken.
