Farming: Organically farmed vineyards; fruit comes from Clary Ranch, Que Syrah, Baker Lane and Solas vineyards, all cool, coastal sites shaped by Pacific fog and wind.
Winemaking: Each vineyard is harvested and fermented separately with native yeast and 100% whole clusters. Fermented with submerged cap and pump-overs, then aged for 9 months in neutral French oak. Unfined and unfiltered.
Cool-climate California Syrah doing a sultry little Northern Rhône impression. Blackberry, violet, cracked pepper, black olive and savory spice, all wrapped up in bright acidity and silky-but-serious tannins. Dark, juicy and wonderful.
