One of Côte-Rôtie's best-kept secrets, Chambeyron-Manin produces fewer than 2,000 bottles annually from a minuscule family vineyard perched above the village of Ampuis. This is Syrah at its most captivating: dark plum, blackberry, violets, black olive, cracked pepper, and a hauntingly savory, smoky character, all wrapped in beautifully structured tannins. A rare and deeply expressive wine that rewards patience in the cellar, or a memorable dinner of herb-crusted lamb, duck confit, or wild mushrooms.
