The Favier family has been making wine in Châteauneuf-du-Pape for generations, and today Alexandre Favier carries on the tradition with a wonderfully expressive, classically styled red. A generous blend led by Grenache, this wine offers layers of ripe black cherries, dark plums, wild Provençal herbs, and warm baking spices, with hints of licorice and earthy minerality. Full-bodied yet beautifully balanced, with supple tannins and a long, savory finish, it's a lovely example of the richness and elegance that make Châteauneuf-du-Pape so beloved. Serve alongside roasted eggplant, mushroom and lentil stew, or duck.
