Winemaking: From an eight-acre, south-facing vineyard planted to Pommard and Wadenswil clones. Fermented with native yeast in small open-top fermenters with twice-daily hand punchdowns and native malolactic fermentation; aged 15 months in a blend of cooperage, including 19% new oak.

Deeply savory and beautifully layered, with black raspberry, tart cherry, rose petal, orange peel, forest floor, mint, and a touch of earthy spice. More muscular than some of Eyrie’s other single-vineyard Pinots, but still wonderfully silky and lifted, with bright acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a long mineral finish. A serious, age-worthy Oregon Pinot with plenty going on in the glass.
